I can't stand people who say ewww. Go answer another question! Being that I make everything from scratch, I hate to admit that I like manwich. On the other hand, it's much cheaper to just saute some ground beef, onions and peppers. Add ketchup, mustard, brown sugar and relish. Simmer until hot and bubbly. If I have barbeque sauce leftover, I throw that in to use it up.

This is what I came up with. I absolutely love mustard so I add a good amount. I like having a little onion and garlic flavor, but my brothers won't eat onion if they see it so I'm forced to use the seasonings.
Sloppy Joes
1 lb lean ground beef
3/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
1/4 cup mustard
2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons dried onions, minced
1/2-1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
--Brown ground beef and drain fat.
Add rest of ingredients to beef and stir until all beef is coated and everything is combined. Let simmer until reduced and thicker.
Enjoy!

I like them more dry than sloppy, After browning ground beef seasoned with garlic salt and pepper, I add in some brown sugar, a bit of ketchup, prepared mustard, a couple of good dollops of horseradish, some worchestier sauce, mix it all up and taste as it heats through to get it to where we like it. If I make them in the summer and I happen to be working on a bottle of beer while cooking, I put some of that in also!!!
Serve on nice crusty buns with a pickle.!

in the crock pot with mccormick sloppy joe seasoning - just follow the directions on the back. You can put the ground beef in the crock pot raw (but thawed) and let it go for 8 hours on low.

Im totally lazy when it comes to sloppy joes. I love the manwichs....Slather it on good homemade buns and top with shredded cheese, pop under the broiler till the cheese bubbles, then let the pigginess begin.....:)

Simmer a pound of hamburger in a little water, drain,it leaves no grease, use 1 envelope onion soup mix and a cup of water, you don't always have to have tomato based, stir another cup of water let simmer, use a little corn starch in water to thicken it up,if you want saute a green pepper all diced up to go with.Less mess.

My fave way is a can of Manwich (not the seasoning packet). We usually eat it open-faced topped w/ shredded cheddar cheese.
