Yes it can. Tooth decay is rot. So your breath will smell rotten. Tooth decay also spreads, it will lead to more rotten teeth and cause you to have a germ filled mouth, you swallow these germs that spread throughout your body. Tooth decay will lead to bad health and worse yet, if not dealt with properly will finally lead to dentures. Go see your Dentist right away.

Tooth decay untreated can lead to needing a root canal. Also, the tooth could become absessed (infected) and give you HORRIBLE pain. The bad breath is the minor part. Check out the link below to see some people's faces who ended up with an infected tooth - ouch!

Get it filled asap!!

Tooth decay or cavities are consequences of caries. If left untreated, the disease can lead to pain, tooth loss, infection, and, in severe cases, death of the tooth. Dental caries can also cause bad breath and foul tastes. In highly progressed cases, infection can spread from the tooth to the surrounding soft tissues which may become life-threatening.

Yes! It can cause VERY bad breath. The kind that smells like you've eaten something dead! Go to the dentist. Also, infections from that tooth will spread to other teeth (which will make all your teeth fall decay).
