I worked approximately 6 months last year and earned approximately $6000.00.?

What I want to know is if I can also claim ssi from my children, would that help increase my earned income credit. With the ssi payments added in I would have an annual income of about $14,500.

No, EIC is for Earned income, and doesn't take SSI into account.

Ditto, EIC is income that is "earned". SSI is not earned.
