im currently a full time college student and im thinking it would be a great job

You'll need to take a test first. I never took it, but if it's anything like state tests it will be about matching digits and making sure you don't mismatch things often. English grammar, basic arithmatic and algebra, and not messing up numbers like zip codes will be important.

You'll have to put a $100 deposit down which you'll get back if you're never offered a job or after you get your job.

The Post Office has lots of relatively high paying jobs which don't require a college degree, so you can bet the competition is fierce to get into.

Consider working for FedEx or UPS.

To prepare for the test, you can get a testing book at Waldenbooks that shows many of the types of questions that will be on the exam.
