i just asked my husband ...i just couldn't let this question go...i keep coming back to...well i'm sure ethics are not involved here at all..however, he says yes it is fine ....i say if you have to you have to ..i guess you could just say excuse me... i just really don't know ...maybe you could cough or something to muffle the sound...this question is just hilarious...what made you think of it??? did it happen to you or by you??

That is where you are supposed to do it.if you are inside a building with other people around -- In the restroom.

Following is disrespectful and rude

1. When someone is bent down behind or next to you - like at a book store.
2. When you are talking to someone in an interviewing booth
3. When all the car windows are closed and someone is in the car with you.
4. On a crowded bus.

It isn't a question of ethics. Ethics is reserved for far more serious matters. It is a matter of common courtesy. If he needs to be sitting on the pot, then he should be sitting on the pot.

i dont think its a question of ethics...but rather a question of appropriateness/politeness. i do not know the proper manners for the men's room sorry. but good luck!

if you're in the bathroom it doesn't matter. it isn't a matter of ethics and it isn't rude if you're in the bathroom.

It's okay, what are restrooms for?
