unfortunately, Philadelphia isnt the only place this is ocurring. but it made me think....can pregnancy and maternity care costs make up a good percentage of the major health care costs we absorb in order to care for the "others" instead of our own people?

what do you think??

At Parkland Hospital in Dallas Texas the cost of birthing babies to illegal immigrants is $70 million annually. At ONE hospital alone!

Paid for compliments of the US taxpayer.

Nice, huh?

I can't take anyone seriously who only can answer questions with insults are slang.

It is a problem world wide. Hong Kong has a ban on people who are pregnant from coming in. THe cost of taking care of all the CHinese who gave birth in Hong Kong was tremendous. We should study how Hong Kong handles their immigration problem.

Unbelievable!

USA gives away food stamps, love to send donations to starving people in the world but fail to provide health care to their poorest. One of the few countries in the world to behave so "smartly".

Never mind illegal or legal, a government should provide for the health care of its citizens at an affordable cost.

"Others"; is that politically correct or should I call it something else?
