We had some people in our town that got caught water boarding some lettuce. FBI just wouldn't do anything.

Plants don't have a central nervous system; animals do. Try this experiment: Throw a stone at a tree and see how it reacts. Now try the same thing with a lion that's not in a cage. Come back later and report your results, if you can.

That would be retarded and no one is going to tell me I can't step on a flower or torch a tree. It isn't something I would do but you get the point. Plants can't feel it. They don't have nerves. They don't even know they exist because they have no thinking ability or senses.

I think it already is for some plants. A counselor at the summer camp I attended a few years ago said to be careful not to damage the water lilies on the lake in the canoes because there was a fine for it because they were a protected species.

I think this is becoming a joke. The government does not have to be in every aspect of our lives. Goodness. People these days are living like slaves and will not make a move without the governments say so. So my answerto your question is no.

It is better to have proper education and good habits and that will solve a lot of problems and wont overburden the government either

I'd laugh, but you may not be too far off. The way the socialists want to control every aspect of our lives, it's probably just a matter of time before you'll get arrested for mowing your lawn.

(sure wish you wouldn't give them ideas...)

Well I've heard that carving anything into a tree truck is the same as carving anything into your leg so it's not dumb. I wouldn't call it cruelty though. I did yell out my window at someone with a tree on their car and called them a tree killer cos that's basically what they did. They killed a living thing. It should be stop the killing of trees since they are a source of oxygen and without them we might be hurting.

to a degree,as they are necessary to help give us clean air to breath....over here in OZ the rules dealing with native fauna, forest, animals(everything is protected)logging, chopping down trees/forests ect, even taking plants for personal)is a'fineabl'offence. You must get a liscence to remove any plant material from any part of the land.
There will always be some(this is what needs to be montored)as we rely on it to produce certain fuel/energy ect...
