What does this got to do with anything? The year is only a
reference point. Even in Christianity it is not clear that if we
are on 2008, because Christ birth year is always debated. So,
it is some reference point and hence the entire world choose
to use this as a calendar.
Even though almost all the world countries follow the same
year, but in Islamic states(most of middle east and other
places), the calendar starts from the Hijra year(Migration of
Prophet Mohammad from Mecca to Medina). That would be
year 1428.( in another 45-50 days it will be 1429)
Also, Muslims believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet....to your
point he is not recognized in other religion.

Dating of the year (indeed dating any day!) is an arbitary decision. The accepted dating system of Christianity is based on speculation (no-one knows the birthdate of the person described up to 60 years after his death in the gospels of the new testament as there is no recognised contemporaneous records). There has also been a change in the calendars as decreed by bishops in the middle ages. Other religions such as Islam and Judaism date their calendars from less than contemporaneously acknowledged starting points. Therefore dates are merely terms of reference for us all to count our own systems of recording the passage of time.

I'm not going to answer, however...
Being brave enough to question your faith is a wonderful thing. To doubt, reason, and return, will strengthen your faith. So don't feel guilty about it.
If there's one thing I do believe it's that faith is different for everyone and is personal. That's how it should be, you shouldn't have your beliefs dictated to you, as is sometimes the case.
