and in the instance of the holocaust, lying to the nazi's, and hiding jews?

Killing is killing in the eyes of God. Man has made it acceptable. Lying to the nazis and hiding jews is still a lie. God knows each person`s heart and the reasons why they lie or defend themselves by killing or being killed. God justifies or diciplines as He sees fit. Those who believe on Jesus and ask forgiveness are forgiven.
Man cannot understand God because man
has not the mind to fathom all that God knows or does.

killing someone in self defense is acceptable because the other person was trying to harm you and you protected your self. During the holocaust people lied to protect jews. Its all about protection
