My brother has a serious dental condition. He has no insurance, no money, and also suffers from mental illness so he has been unable to work for quiet some time. He went to the ER a week ago about his teeth/gums, and they worked with him, and found that he has a serious gum disease that is going to begin spreading first to his sinuses, and then to his brain, which will kill him in a matter of months.

He needs 20,000 for the procedure. I am trying my hardest to find a way to get him the money he needs. No one else in our family will help him and I don't have enough money to live on, so I am trying to find what kind of grant and government opitions are available for him? Where do i begin? please help......... i cant lose my brother, he is all i have.

Any helpful responses are appreciated and i thank you in advance.

I've never heard of a life-threatening dental condition that costs 20 grand to fix! He could have severe gum disease, he could have an abcess, and yes, they can be life-threatening in EXTREME cases (not usually) but this can usually be resolved by simply extracting the tooth w/ the infection/abcess.

Granted, this sucks that poor people lose teeth while others w/ ins/money can afford rootcanals and crowns etc, but I doubt he'll DIE...

I'm afraid I need more details. please find out the name of the condition, the town and doctor who diagnosed it and email me directly. I"ll see if i can help...

Don't care approximately human rights? Well he is a felon, quantity a million. No marvel he misplaced his activity. While he had his activity he must have had a well being care plan, and whilst he bought out of prison he must have looked for a different one. Don't blame this nation since your brother dedicated against the law. Doctors don't seem to be ordinarily grasping men and women. It's their activity to save lots of peoples' lives. It's no longer that they simply wish cash, they NEED cash to pay for what it expenses to handle a melanoma sufferer. That stuff ain't inexpensive. It's no longer reasonable that your brother has melanoma, and I'm real sorry to listen to approximately it. But you can not blame the nation for the results of your brother's well being. Having melanoma, at the same time it can be terrible, does not make up for loss of accountability. The cause we shouldn't have the equal sort of well being plan Canada has, is to stay giving men and women the liberty to opt for their possess medical professionals, plan insurance policy, and extra fundamental matters that can not take delivery of with the trade style of well being. The United States, cares commonly approximately human rights. But well being coverage isn't a correct.

Contact a United Cerebral Palsy Association near you... they have dental clinics that treat those with 'special needs', as your brother has... He should be eligible for Medicaid, which all the UCP's nationwide accept as a form of payment.

Best of luck to you~

*Edited to say that UCP accepts anyone with any kind of disability, whether it be mental or physical....feel free to email me..
