I'd believe, but I would only worship if I had a good reason. I wouldn't worship OT God without a good explanation for the genocide.
In fact, God would need to convince me to worship him/her. I don't see why a deity would care whether or not I revere her.

Depends on how you define God or gods. Did he create you? Does he care about you? There are people that believe in gods that (Hinduism for example) provide some special need, and b/c of this they worship that god. If I believe in a God that loves me and provides my needs (which I do), I would think he deserves to be worshiped (I would put him first before everything and love him with all my heart -that is worship). But that is me. Maybe you see yourself as a god. I believe everyone has a god that they worship (could be self, girlfriend, science, money, etc.). Whatever you put first in your life is what you worship and make your god. And I am glad you were willing to admit that if you knew for sure there was a God, you would not worship him. More people should admit to that. For others, they claim not to follow God b/c they don't know if he exist or not (really they don't want to do the things that are required by his commandments- which are selfless acts toward God and others). Pride of course is the number one flaw of human beings that disconnects them from God (they refuse to humble themselves and believe, worship, and obey the Almighty God - there is an innate ability in all of us to follow self- only God knows how following self is self-destructive; look at the world today). No offense intended to anyone. God bless.

Of course they're two different things. If the evidence showed that indeed there is a god (or more), still I'm not sure whether I'd worhip him. Judging from the religious scripts, he does require us to worhip and obey him, but we all know how flawed religious scripts are, so in the end even if the evidence do show that there is a god it wouldn't be the one from the Bible/Qur'an or it would prove to be the same one, whom humans completely misunderstood.
It's really hard for me to answer such a hypothetical question. Simply too many ''what ifs'' in the story.
The longer I type, the less sure about my response I am. Maybe I would worship him, maybe I wouldn't. I simply don't know. How about that? At least I'm honest *shrugs shoulders*

To believe a being so powerful wants to be worshiped is sad. Why would he need it?
If he is proven to be real(watch how many will say its been proven)then i would imagine he would be open to a conversation. He will ask why everyone is worried about speaking with him when we should all be worried about having a proper conversation with ourselves...A am starting my own cult by the way...any takers?

Yes, I DO believe that they are two COMPLETELY different things. I've already acknowledged God's existence by accepting Him as my Lord and Savior. However, He desires that I worship Him by giving Him praise and glory for the many blessings He's given me. Those are two completely separate acts.

Good question.
The fact that an almighty and benevolent God is impossible scares me.
I believe that there could be a higher power but it isn't necessarily almighty and benevolent like some people believe...
No, I won't worship this God unless I can finally understand everything.

I got news for you... a lot of people realize that God is very real. It's just that you cannot see him in human terms :)
Lucifer (Satan) believes that God exists, and you would not see him worshipping God, so you are absolutely correct that worshipping God and knowing he exists are two very different things.

It depends on the character of the proven god or gods. I would hope that a rational explanation would be offered along with the evidence.

The problem is not with the existence but the definition of God.
If God did not exist, then this whole question would be nonsense, wouldn't it? You would all be arguing about nothing but to argue about something implies its existence to begin with.
So stop arguing about Gods' existence and start defining what YOU mean by God.
