Allah says it is man's duty to support his wife and children and provide them every thing they need. Prophet Mohammad said, best place for a woman to be is her home. Let me add that women with children should always be a
full time mothers. No hired help can give the love that a mother can.

When a father dies leaving some wealth, Islamic Law which is made by God says that give one share to son because he has to support his wife and children.

Andgive 1/2 share to daughter because they have no financial responsibility of herself or her children because her husband takes care of that. Hence distribution of wealth becomes fare and nearly equal to both.

You must believe that God is not UNJUST and God wrote the Shariah Laws in Quran. Inheritance laws are not written by Proiphet Mohammad or the scholars of Islam. None of them have right to change the laws that God has written in Quran.
God knows best is the belief of all Muslims.

The reason is because the son will eventually have a wife and family of his own. He would need a larger inheritance in order to take care of himself, his wife and child. The daughter receives less because she would eventually become someones wife and it would be his responsibility to take care of her. At least in Islam there is a set law on inheritance that includes women. Many of the rules regarding inheritance and contracts that are followed today come from the Quran. The Quran was the first scripture to give instructions on a notary.

It is very unfair- to the man.

In Islam the man has to maintain his wife and children and pay for accomodation food etc -while the wife gets to keep all her money even if she is a milionaire.

So tell me which would you prefer- $200,000 which you have to use to buy a house, clothes, foods, everyday costs like schooling or $100,000 you can spend how you like.?

It should be noted that religions before Islam gave women NO share of inheritance and some (Hinduism/Orthodox Judaism) still dont

The daugther keeps her entire inheritance and can do with it whatever she wants, but the son is required to use his inheritance on his sister, mother, himself. So in the end, it either equals out or the daugther ends up having more.
