I went to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed amoxicillin to fight the infection but what can I do in the mean time for the discomfort. I can’t sleep, eat, swallow, and I keep having to spit since it feels like some one is stabbing me in the neck and throat when I swallow.
So far I have tried...drinking tea, 3 different types of throat lozengers, gargling with peroxide and salt water, Advil, Excedrin, Sudafed and Tylenol.

Is there anything that will give me some relief?????

There is only one thing that I have used that works, because it numbs the throat is Chloraceptic Spray. It comes in a green and orange liquid. I have found that the green is best but it tastes bad. You spray it back toward the throat and even gargle with it. After a few times it has a numbing effect.

Hopefully, I have spelled the product name correctly.
