Heat is always better for muscle ache. Injury is when you should use ice. A quick moist heat pack will help alot. wet down a wash cloth ring out most of the water, put it in a ziplock sandwhich bag microwave for 1 1/2 min at most. wrap a dry towel around it place on sore spot. Stretch it out. Strectch your neck in oppisite direction of sore spot, hold there for few seconds, then relax neck. Do this until the pain starts to work out. Massage is also another help for tight muscles.

- It works. (I'm a massage therapist I do this all the time)

Short of going to the doctor and being told the same thing in fancy words you will have to tough it out. You probably slept wrong and ocne you have the bad neck it'll take a few days to get rid of. Use a pain killer like Advil but go light on them as they can blow a hole in your stomach, (been there done it no fun), another possible temporary is one of those creams like Theragesic, Ben-Gay, or one of the icy things. If it doesn't go away in a few more days I would recommend a doctor. Good luck.

Don't apply ice just give it heat with hot water bag three times a day if this does not give you relief then take some pain killer and muscle relaxants (Consult with your doctor for prescription). Use small pillow to sleep and you will be completely fine

You probably have a sprain or a cramp. Try sleeping in proper position, with ur head held straight. Meanwhile, you could apply zndu balm or moov or iodex. Amrutanjan helps too

Gently try and roll your neck by holding on to it. It may hurt a little to get it better.
