why do catholics shun criminals such as rapists and theives, yet they donate millions of dollars to their churches to get their child molesting priests out of hot water with the law? After reading about how the catholic church covers up thousands of child molestation cases with their donated cash, why do catholics continue to feel they are making the best choice in their faith?

Because they are hypocritical, of course. In Catholic schools (at least in mine), they actually teach that the people who were suing the dioscese were sinning because it is "against God's will," or something like that.

What a church so powerful and yet does not contain even one internal voice loud enough to embarrass it into cleaning up! for so many years so many have been wronged in this way it is like a dark mecca for this activity, may it be torn apart if it does not represent faith-full wholesome Christianity.

Quite often the abusive clergy are also very charismatic and hence very profitable--it's all about the mulla--don't kid yourself otherwise. This is well documented. Plus there is a severe shortage of new priest entering the ministry as well.
Kinda like the same reason hospitals cover up for bad nurses--there is a shortage of them..

Blind faith is a frightening thing.
I'll answer your question with another question...
Why do radical Muslims continue to support clerics who advocate violence and intolerance, when such beliefs go against everything their Koran tells them?
As I said, blind faith, without the guiding light of reason and intelligence is the only thing that separates us from the nutcases who tell themselves that God, Allah, or whomever is telling them to kill.

All churches are having problems in this area. I don't believe that the church should protect these people either, they should be sent to jail and executed! Christians put their complete trust in God even though they know there are bad people in the church. I don't attend the catholic church, but if that took place within my church I would have to leave.

I wonder too. I guess they are cowards cause they wont do anything to stop child abuse. they are nagging about people killing each other, but they wont say anything about child abuse?
I notice that there is no rule or commandment that would say "do not rape or abuse children". there are rules not to kill people, but there arent rules that would protect people from sexual violence.
I really wonder whats going on in gods mind.

i see your point.but the Bible is clear that :"not all who calls out to me 'my God,my God' wil enter the kingdom of heaven"
just cuz someone is a christian or catholic or whatever doesnt mean they are saved.
