Because they are a direct reflection of the humans who created them.

Well there is only One True God! None of the rest of the so called Gods matter- they can't do anything to help you in this life or the next to come. If one chooses to follow a false God in my opinion is just stupidity.

There is only on true God, the LORD.
He is available to us as the Father,
the Son and the Holy Spirit.
As a Christian, I will tell you the truth about
the one true God and His Son JESUS;
but I am willing to allow you
to be wrong if that's what you insist upon.
God will-not force Himself on anybody.
He wants us to have genuine love for Him of our
own free-will.
In western countries which have had a christian tradition in their foundation,
all religions are tolerated.
In countries that do not have a christian foundation,
those of other religions are persecuted, jailed and killed. For example If you are jewish, and step-foot inside saudi arabia, you will be instantly killed.
It is actually part of their law if I heard correctly.
JESUS is the way, the truth and the life.
No one can come to the Father, but by Him.
There is no other way by which we can be saved...

We do know that the earth was made by God Himself and who else would have the knowledge to create the human body so perfect with all it's functions. All gods of this world will always try to tear down the true God who made the heavens and the earth.

Most of them get along fine, actually. It's just those few young upstarts that seem to have a serious inferiority complex. Perhaps they feel slighted by the Goddess, because they're not only children? They do seem to want an aweful lot of attention.

But the vast majority of gods seems to work reasonably well together.

The gods are imaginary. They were invented by power hungry insecure little men, kinda like geeky kids invent superheroes in comic books. Anything or anyone that calls their imaginary hero into question is a cause for panic and must be suppressed.

different religions make mutually exclusive claims. for example, the bible makes the claim that “it is appointed unto men once to die” [hebrews 9:27], while some eastern religions teach reincarnation. so, do we die once, or many times? both teachings cannot be true. the relativist essentially redefines truth in order to create a paradoxical world where multiple, contradictory “truths” can co-exist.

Frail egos.

Low self confidence.

I mean, what kind of omniscient, omnipotent deity gets jealous? What's there to be jealous of? Gods sound more human than many humans.
