I don't have any kids but I can only imagine that she's looking for someone who's going to be a good friend, and be there for her when she's stressed, be there to give here a massage after the baby's asleep, be good!
All single mothers are not needy women who are just looking for a replacement daddy. With that said, help her out when needed, but don't offer too much...
Good Luck

Does she want a relationship at all? My friend tip toe through this minefield very carefully. The options from other answers seem to be; she wants a relationship. She isn't looking for one or as one responder says she wants a daddy for her baby and someone to take care of them both. And like that responder if you aren't ready to take responsibility for some other guys baby then back off fast. No foul in that, a lot of men wouldn't want some other guy's baby. Also there is a possibility that if you do lay your thoughts out to her she may bolt from you and the friendship you seem to have with her will be lost. Neither of you will be comfortable after that with each other. Good luck my friend and think long and hard about this. You're both young.

Depends on the girl but as a Mother myself (albeit a married one) I would have been looking for friendship, followed by a gradual build to a gentle and loving relationship that would include my child being as important to that man as I am. The others are right - you should talk to her, but be prepared to be a father as well as a boyfriend. If you stay together for a while, that's a relationship that never ends, no matter what happens between the two of you.

Depends on the girl. Some may be wanting a relationship and some may just want friends. She probably won't be running around the way other college girls do. Just tell her how you feel, see if she feels the same. Take it slow! She's probably still somewhat hurt or bitter about her baby's daddy.

They look for serious relationships. One they have a baby they grow out of the one night stand / fling type relationships because they are forced to take on a lot of responsibility. They begin looking for guys who show good responsibility and the ability to get things done.

She is looking for a Daddy for her baby and someone to support both her and the baby. If you aren't up for the challenge, get out now.
