How good are the Mossberg 100ATR bolt action rifles in the .308 caliber? Are they accurate? Is the quality good? They seem to be very inexpensive, are they a good deal for the money? They have a free floating barrel. Do they match other rifles of high cost?

The Mossberg ATR100 is an "economy" grade rifle at best. As a Dealer, I guess the biggest issues I have with them is the fact they have substituted some parts with plastic instead of metal. I have fired several and to be honest I wasn't impressed at all. To compare them to Remington or Savage rifles is just not a fair comparison. My advice would be to save your money and at the very least, look at Savage or Remington rifles instead of Mossberg. You will be much happier and better off with the better quality rifles mentioned......

Buy Savage or Remington, or buy a used one and save $$$$.* A new rifle doesn't shoot any better than a good used one.*
