How do you deal with people who do not take responsibility for their behaviour, actions, mistakes etc? They point their finger at everyone else and play the 'blame game'. Or they change the subject away from themselves.

In general, these people are usually unhappy w/ a lot of things going on in their life and find it easier to blame others. The best thing to do is let them vent but remind after their venting that he or she put themselves in that situation and the only way it will change is if he or she wants to change it.

It depends on the situation and how important it really is to me. For example, if it's at work and it might reflect on me or make my life difficult at some point I don't let them get away with it. I keep asking questions with as many people around as possible until it becomes obvious that the offending person actually made the mistake. Keep proof too, if possible, so that you can show it later if you need too. Generally, most other people see this type of behaviour too so people know not to trust them.

My sister in law is like that. At first it was a big issue between my husband and I because she kept blaming me for things I didn't do. But, my husband ended up getting wise to it and he and I have just learned how to ignore it and it has actually gotten a little better. I think that she is jealous of what my husband and I have together because she does not have a significant other. I think that is what it is with most people that act this way. Hope this helps. Good luck. :o)

I don't deal with them.

Life is too short to waste time on people who just don't get that THEY are the ones responsible for their choices and actions in life.

I tend to eventually distance myself from this kind of people. When they do it I might fight them a little, but knowing they won't change their ways I learn to just keep quiet and let them say and do as they please. But I don't like this kind of people to be around me.

You talk to them privately and tell them what is bothering you.
