Hi.. you can borrow xp cd from your friends/neighbors... If you already have the Key, you are not assigned to use one CD... You can use any XP Cd with your key to install it...

hi shaliru
you cant actually download a copy of windows xp however having your product key is a real advantage
your best option is to contact microsoft uk on 0870 60 10 100,this is the microsoft uk licensing contact number, they can give you the details you need, and if there is a download for windows xp it wont be a public download and microsoft may either give you a url(website address)to locate or may send you a replacment copy
hope this helps
good luck and happy new year !

Hi,

As far as I know you can't just download a new installation cd, but check this part of Microsoft's site for more info regarding replacement media :-

You can't.

MS doesn't allow you to download a copy of windows from them. You'd probably be able to buy it online but they wouldn't allow downloads. You'd have to get a pirate copy or contact them directly to see if they can replace it for you (but I think they'd expect you to buy a new one)

it does seem tho that you may have to pay for the delivery of a copy cd.

is it OEM or Full Version? if its full version you can probably find a copy on eBay for a few bucks, if its OEM you can probably also find it but you will need to make sure its for you specific model.
