I have windows vista on my computer now and I'm kind of torn about liking it. Vista has a lot of conveniences (such as a news feed directly on your screen, weather, calendar, etc.) and at times can be easier to use. Vista also can handle some recent software well. Maybe I just need more time to get used to Vista (although it's been more than a few months) but....
My computer doesn't seem to LOVE vista, seeing as sometimes my comp. will crash and say that the reasoning was Vista. If you are really capable with computers and have no time getting vista up to your old XP status and beyond then I'd say go for it.
Vista is a bit more chic if you're really comfortable with xp and don't see a STRONG need for change don't do it, but if you're looking for that something new. *shrugs*

If you have already invested a lot of money into software for your windows XP that you still use i would hang on to the OS because Vista Isn't compatable with a lot of older software. But if you don't have lots of expensive software and you have a newer computer that can support the graphics and memory demands then go for vista. vista looks much nicer and has some cool features including direct x 10 support, windows defender, and a more customizable color scheme and pretty soon you wont be able to run the new software on the old OS. in short IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT GO FOR IT. IF NOT YOUR NOT MISSING A WHOLE LOT

Hi, it doesn't matter what you like. Both of the operating systems are good, but it matters what you want to do with them. If you want something new and you want your computer to look cool then I would say the Vista. If you to play game, or edit stuff then I would say the XP. Vista has less softwares so you can't do much but with the XP you can do almost everything.

Stick with Windows XP if you are looking to have a stable operating system and don't care about DirectX 10 for games. At my job we still use Windows XP because it has less compatibility issues with 3rd party software and hardware than Vista does.

Windows xp. You know why? Because it freezes less and the microsoft word that comes with it never gets problems. Vista is just too confusing for life.

I like WINDOWS XP much better
my nana has the windows VISTA one--and you can't play half the games that you've bought [as they have been invented before windows vista]
also everything is pretty much different-even in Microsoft word.
It's a little too confusing for me-though there are some features I do like, such as the games already programmed on there.

Vista! Although many programs don't work with it. So far now, Windows XP is the best choice.
