No that's a terrible time and most good cross country/distance runners can run the last part of a 2-3 mile race faster than that. Bugger off the running section and find your way back to the football section.

That's on the slow side. Should be closer to 5.0, but for a quarterback, straight foot speed is not as important as foot agility, unless your team runs a lot of QB keepers.

For your size, its about average... but for your AGE, its pretty good. You have to remember, as a freshman, you've still got a few years before you have to impress the college scouts. Keep working on it and you'll be where you want to be. Good luck and don't give up chasing those dreams... you're gonna make it.

Yeah I think that other dude is right.

Seems to be about average for a QB.

You'll need to get faster before college though.

Remember, there are freaking LB's in college who can run a 4.6 or 4.7 and they're 80 or so pounds heavier than you.

i play intense college soccer and that i could say the 40 time isent undesirable for a freshman however the bench needs to bypass way up and comparable with the squat it merely takes time save working no longer easy at it and ul be effective.

Depends if you want to play college ball and what type of college ball you want to play. If you want to play Division One you should probably get into the low 5's, hopefully lower. Given your age though? You've got time to improve. Just don't be lured by steroids :)

i dont think so if your a wide receiver or a runningback but, since your a quaterback maybe so. im a 8th grade runningback and i run a 4.53 in the 40 yard dash.
