My 21 year old cousin (from Germany) wore a speedo brief swimsuit to Schlitterbahn (indoor heated water park) yesterday when we went with some friends... Do you think most people assume that he is literally a homosexual for wearing that? Because I know him very well, and he definitely is NOT gay. I was wondering what people assume, if anything?

it is much more common in Europe for a man to wear a speedo instead of board shorts...so people probably did not think too much of it...i'm an american and i do not assume homosexuality is the primary reason a man would wear a speedo.

No, most women probably would not assume he was gay purely because he decided to wear a speedo brief. Now guys, probably they would assume he was gay, or at least say something to be funny.

Are you asking this because if people see you with him they will assume that you are gay?

Who cares what other people think.
Do they sign your paycheck?
Do they pay your bills?

Your at the water park to have fun. Not to make an impression.

NO...cloths that you wear do not determine your sexuality. Even if he was wearing a rainbow I might think the them person is standing up for gay rights.

If no females are around him and only a guy friend or more he may be thought of as questionable, yes.

No I wouldn't automatically assume they are gay but I would question their taste in swimwear!!
