The Daily Mail should have asked the Vatican before publishing the story because the Vatican has denied expanding the number of exorcists: http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/166065.html

However Catholics have been casting out demons ever since Jesus and the Apostles did it.

Modern psychology says that most of the people who had demons cast out of them were probably miraculously cured from schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. But their cures were still miracles.

The Catholic Church believes that real demonic possessions are rare but possible, so they keep a few exorcists around just in case.

The Church has guidelines in place to take great care to exhaust psychological options before calling in an exorcist.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 1673: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2sect2chpt4.htm#1673

Anglicanism, several Protestant denominations, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), Judaism, Hinduism, Scientology, and Islam also practice some kind of exorcism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exorcism

With love in Christ.

No hoax. that's actual alright. those vouchers truly paintings! in fact, I used my voucher merely on the instant. I had no theory that there became a slimy little squirmy green-eyed forked-tongued 8" demon nestled insde of me. i think of i'm going to have caught it from this website, yet i'm uncertain. the substantial factor is, i'm rid of it. nicely, definitely, that's preserved ideas-blowing over here in this huge mason jar. each now and then i like to unscrew the lid and have a sniff of formaldehyde, to get a sprint buzz.

Oh my Goddess, when I saw that pic of the Pope, sitting there in the fancy hat, with that diabolical look on his face--I instantly sensed that he is demonic himself. I am not kidding around here. Just look at that expression on his face! In all that pomp--that thing is the most evil THING I have seen in long time. Oh this image of a leering Satan holding the Pope's puppet strings comes to me rather strongly now. Clever one, ain't he. I guess Popey doesn't like competition.

I'll feel safer until one of those squads comes to exorcise the "demons" that are making me an atheist. Exorcisms are scary.

No way. Religion has always used "fear tactics" to get people to conform to their ways. It got old a long time ago. Satanism is just a practice. If you feel safer cause the head of some religious organization put his little "exorcist" squads on the streets then you have bigger issues to worry about.

It's the inquisition all over again, eh? The pope looks a bit evil in that pic, as well!

Without Jesus you cannot fight satan. You have to have Jesus living inside of you to have this type of authority. As long as there is sin in the world, satan will be working to put people into bondage. There are Christian churches around that cast out demons.

Riiiight...so, does that mean I can set up atheist squads to root out credulity in the clergy?
