looking to buy a new car. The Acura TSX is at the top of my list. I hate BMW and Audi.
Is there any reason to look at the 93? Will it be as reliable as the TSX?

As a Saab owner that has only owned Saabs (I'm on my third), I would have to recommend the Acura. It's a much safer choice since a Saab has particular quirks that Saab enthusiasts expect but a lot of people can't stand. You end up either loving it or hating it, and unless you've driven one and have fallen in love with it I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase one without first experiencing what they're buying.

As the saying goes: learn the Saab, live the Saab, love the Saab.

Learning the Saab can prove tricky and devastating to its manual transmission if you prefer a stick shift.

The other issue is that I honestly feel the quality and uniqueness of the Saab has gone downhill tremendously since GM purchased them in 1993. Ever since their body styles have just not been the same.

If you're really leaning on purchasing a Saab, BE SURE to test drive it. If you buy it blind, you'll more likely than not have buyer's remorse.

OH! I thought you had a question about the SAAB 93 and 96 models from the 50's and 60's.

The vehicle you are asking about is referred to as the 9-3 here as you can't make the 3 smaller on our keyboards.

Sorry

Buy the Acura. Always go with your first choice. If the Saab ends up a disappointment then you will be angry that you didn't buy the TSX

I'm a rep, I have driven them all, just look at the SAAB - performance is perky, solid an comfortable on the road - unless you have a 900 convertable like mine that twitches all over the place - but it's FUN!

You're buying into a prestige name, they've had their problems, but they're long behind them now - I'm converted.
