Drinking and doing drugs creates a whole other problem completely that you certainly don't need. She will definitely not want you back if you are an alcoholic and drug addict. So, channel your energy into coming clean and trying to get her back. If you truly love her, show her what she means to show by getting a job and stopping the drinking and drugs. She'll see that you're willing to do anything for her, and she'll admire your committment and hopefully return it. :D

Everyone has issues they deal with, and quite often we (people in general) resort to things such as drinking or drugs to avoid having to suffer through their problems, which is not healthy. Your problem may not only be your split with your girlfriend, but rather it might also be avoidance of the problems in your life. Only you can or will know. No one can say for sure except for you.
There are people working through similar issues who want to help. I highly recommend either Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous. You are unemployed and cannot afford to pay a professional, but these groups are filled with people like yourself, so there needn't be any embarassment. Additionally, the price is right as they generally only ask the price of a cup of coffee if you can afford it, and not even that if you can't.
These groups are filled with people who want to help you because doing so helps them keep themselves together. Even if you just show up to a meeting once, you will also help the others who are there by sharing your struggles and your story. The more you go, the more belonging to such a group will help you.
If you are ready to face your problems rather than run from them, I suggest the website below to help you find a close Narcotics Anonymous meeting in the near future:

You've already taken a good first step which is sharing the problems you are having with another. I wish you all the best in confronting your problems and getting some help.

I know it hurts, but you have to keep it movin... get off the drugs and alcohol..2 weeks of that is long enough. Get rid of all the crap that reminds you of her. Get off the couch, take a shower, shave and put on some clean clothes. Go get a damn job, so that you can go out and meet a new girl. Sitting around feeling sorry for yourself is weak.

oh, my, I am so sorry. Why did you start drinking and doing drugs? I have something that might help: Have you ever thought that if she sees you like this, she might not take you back. There is always hope. Tell her you are a broken shell of a man without her. I'll pray for you.

wow. i'm so sorry that happened. one way to save money stop spending it on the drinks and drugs, that'll save u some. Try talking to her if she doesn't want to talk to her just tell her it's important and that you need help. tell her you can't stop thinking about her and you need to know that u 2 could at least be friends. just tell her your problems then things might go better for you. good luck and best wishes.

Maybe if you saved some money you're spending on the drink & drugs, you could see a professional?

Your ex does not revolve around your life. You have other things that can keep your mind occupied. Drinking and drugs is a stupid answer that is only temporary healing. Get your life in order by doing something useful with your life.

Wow, no wonder she dumped you. You're a loser.
Quit drinking, get off the drugs, clean yourself up and get a job. Then you should be able to find and keep a girlfriend.
