ok i have a dog that was given to me and i am trying to figure out what breed it is. it looks like a chihuahua in the face and it has a long neck it is white with brown spots and it is a little bigger than a chihuahua so its not a toy dog
if anyone can help with an idea of what kind of dog breed it is that will help!
Thanks!

I think it's a Chihuahua Terrier Mix.Thats how my 2 dogs are. Or you can compare pictures if its the same.If you still cant find out ask the local animal shelter. They will find out eventually.Or you can look online.

Can you post a picture? That description makes it sound like a chihuahua to me. Some have long necks and some have short necks. It just depends on the breeding which it will have. They come in a wide variety of sizes so posting the weight will be necessary to determine if it is a normal size for a chihuahua or not.

sounds like a chihuahua. maybe a poorly bred one.
not all chihuahuas look exactly like the one you saw in a dog show. there are many different looking dogs of the same breed.

NOTE~ it might still be a toy breed. not all toy breeds are as small as a teacup chihuahua. some are rather medium sized.

If you post a picture...we can all make an educated guess!

Add: It could be a poorly bred chihuahua

A show quality chihuahua looks like this:

I think you're going to need to post a picture to get good answers. But try checking out Jack and Parson Russell terriers for starters.

If it is a full blooded breed it sounds like a rat terrier.

ask the person who gave it to you, or the breeder. If not, a picture would be nice =]
