For all of those that are against hunting you're even worse then us hunters if you like to see an injured or dead deer on the side of a road and imagine that the one's that were injured the have to go throughout the rest of their life suffering.

The only fish you'll see on my wall is a picture of one or a fiberglass portait of a fish but not the real thing.

If you eat fish as you say than what makes Fishing any different from Hunting? Don't you see that as just a tad hypocritical ? It's all about personal choices......
I belong to an organization called Hunters for the Hungry..
I provided enough venison this season to feed 24 hungry and homeless people for a month thru this program. Nothing goes to waste.. Is that an "issue" too ?

I've only ever hunted women and fish but I've always wanted to try my hand at some whitetail hunting. Its just so cold and I don't like those platforms. Anyway, I think hunting is just fine. These days its done in a very controlled way that understands that the animals are there for us to use as we will. Wild deer are not really wild anymore, they are managed and when there gets to be too many of them they venture out onto our highways and cause accidents.
Anyone who is against hunting should look at how they treat other human beings in their day to day life. Most of these anti-hunting people work in offices where they have to make decisions that can destroy the lives of others all in the name of business. How can someone get crazy over a deer hunted down and killed at relatively short range when a short range from their homes people are going without and their children are suffering because of the decisions of big businesses who view other people as objectively as they view a smashed up deer on the interstate?
You can argue that killing an animal is murder but killing a person IS murder and as long as that's going on these anti-hunting people don't have a leg to stand on, in m y opinion.

I like hunting, some don't, I can deal with that. It really makes me mad when someone belittles me about my hunting, or comes onto a forum SPECIFICALLY for hunters to say how much they don't like hunting. To Jason, you can have the horns/antlers to brag about as well as all the meat, it isn't like one spoils if you try and touch the other. The one thing I could stand a little less of, and I am going to get get shunned for this, are amazing hunters who take the biggest deer in the field every season. That takes away the oppurtunity for his superior genes to spread further and make the deer population more healthy as a whole, and it stops the hunters with less skill from getting their one buck of a lifetime. I can understand if it is for a TV show but otherwise...

I don't hunt, but I don't have a problem with people that hunt either. I agree that you should eat what you kill. Personally, I think Bambi Helper is pretty good! In Ohio, more deer are killed by cars than by hunters. Hunters are needed to help control the population of deer and other animals. I am against poachers who illegally kill animals for sport.
One thing I would like to mention is that the other day my daughter was watching Bambi and didn't understand the hunter killing Bambi's mother. I wasn't sure how to explain it without her not eating meat again. I don't think we'll be watching Bambi in the near future. :)

Not always. Due to over-zealous environmental protection, hunters weren't allowed to hunt deer in some area. Due to the limited supply of natural wolves, the deer over-populated, ate all the plants, and basically all starved.
But if you're going to hunt, you definitely should eat it and give the rest off.

For anyone that is against hunting do you have the slightest idea of the life the animals "live" who are raised for meat? They are kept in cramped quarters, fed all kinds of hormones, antibiotics, etc, to make them excessively fat and keep them alive in the horrid conditions in which they exist. (Think of Auschwitz without the forced labor and you'll be close).
Compare this with an animal that lives its life in its natural habitat and is allowed to do its own thing until it is killed.
If you're a vegan and you're against any killing of animals at least you're not a hypocrite and I'll listen to your arguments. If you're against hunting but eat meat that comes from a slaughter house you're nothing but a hypocrite. You're saying that people who kill are assholes at the same time you're wolfing down a cheeseburger.
Just for the record, I'm against slaugher houses, egg farms, and killing animals for fur. I'm 100% in favor of hunting, though.

I used to hunt a lot of pig in Hawaii. That's really the only hunting experience I have. It seems like hunting anything other than varmints here on the mainland would be a royal pain in the butt. I have no problems with hunting but I DO have a problem with hunters leaving their trash all over the place. What's up with all that hypocrisy? (They claim to love the outdoors while trashing it.)

I THINK HUNTING IS RIGHT. THERE ARE SO MANY DEER AND JUST NOT ENOUGH FOOD. WOULD YOU RATHER end an animals life quickly or would you want that animal to suffer during the winter and die of starvation. think about it!

Thanks for posting this, although most of the narrow minded anti-hunters will still think hunting is wrong. But at lease we (hunters) know the truth.
Jason I don't know what kind of hunters you know, that's not why people hunt.
FOOD is the reason
