I have [did] have brown eyes that were really pretty, a little while ago they got lighter and lighter. A couple of days ago they changed to hazel getting lighter and lighter, with brown around the pupil. What's going on?

My eyes have gotten lighter over the years too. They used to be medium brown but now they are light gold. When I look closely at my right eye, I can even see what looks like a layer of blue behind the other color. Mom has light brown eyes and Dad has blue eyes.

I don't know what causes it, but the same thing is happening to me! My dad has light blue eyes and my mom's are dark brown. My eyes have always been dark brown, but over the last couple years they've turned light brown, and last week I noticed that around the edges they are actually starting to turn green. Maybe sometimes your eye color will just change as you age?

Genetics. I have brown eyes and my boyfriend has hazel eyes. We have little ones and they have brown eyes but my son's eyes have been getting lighter. Go figure...

I'm not sure exactly what it is but i have the same thing. My eyes are normally brown, but if i cry or they get irritated they go bright green its weird. Don't worry they will probably change back.

my boyfriends eyes are always changing.. one day they look green and then the next they look brown and then after that they look hazel

I have hazel eyes...I've been told that they are quite beautiful. When I get emotional, they tend to show more green.
