last night i hookedup with a guy and i really like him. hes the type of guy that doesnt really talk a lot, but hes gotten a bit better at that whole deal. however we have got a lot in common so that shouldnt really be a problem. anyways...what i wanted to know is how do i know if he is for real or if he just wants "booty"....he has hookedup with 4 girls in the 5 or 6 months that he has been here and has only been with each of them either once or for a week. i dont know if he will be any different with me. how should i act to keep him interested? and what signs should i look for in him to see if he wants me.

Nothing you've said really can tell us if he likes you or just your body. Perhaps the short relationships he has had were because he's just a player or a user ... or maybe they were really unsuitable for another reason.
You'd have to get to know him a little bit better. But the easiest way is to not let him have any booty and to see how he reacts.

I'm thinking your first clue is his tendency (and history) to "hit it and quit it" that you've described. How did you manage to not consider that a hint? You think you're somehow different or special, maybe? You are special, but they are too...but from his perspective, you may just be a piece of a s s, just like they wound up being. The way to "keep him interested" would be to keep him bedded down, but I certainly don't recommend that course of action, at least not for the purposes of keeping him from leaving.
From a guy perspective when we see things like this happening, we have no idea what you ladies are thinking...like how can you see 15 girls ahead of you fall off a cliff yet you step to the edge to be number 16, wondering the whole time how the cliff feels about it? Well, I guess this is how you learn, so try not to get hurt too badly in the process.

If you've already had sex with him (as your post indicates) you may already have given him what he wanted and he may have no further interest...be yourself, don't cling, don't press for more, and see where things go.
Some people prefer casual hook-ups over anything more serious, and others want the committment. If you are someone he can see being with beyond just some sex, he'll let ya know.

Tell him that you don't want sex for a whole month....
If he gets shocked, then be concerned.
If he is cool with it, give him a shot.
In my beliefs there should be no sex before marriage....you could try that...and see what he says.
