During this part of my dream I was with an old co-worker who seemed pretty depressed. I don't recall having any feelings one way or the other but I did get an ominous vibe when I noticed how he was. As for details on the dream I posted it already and someone said something about a setting sun being a bad sign.

Sez who? A beautiful sunset could be about closure, an ending, that can be positive, as well as negative, depending on the context of the dream. For example, if you dream of being out in a boat, in a terrible storm, and the storm clears with the dream ending in a beautiful sunset, that could mean that you weathered a terrible emotional storm of some kind, but the situation is over, it's done, and you made it through ok....

It is too brief to interpret, sun setting, could mean many things,
What was your feeling, the surrounding, location, colors,objects, color and size , only then I might be able to tell you If it is bad or good, In general sun setting, represent, mystery, inquisitive mind, and also unknown, and it also could be romantic, But you need to give more details.

Setting sun signifies that something good is going to end. It might be a life or a job or happiness.It marks the beginning of a brief unfavourable period.

if the setting sun is not scaring you when you watch it set it is not a bad thing it is more of a way of your mind telling you "another day done well!" &/or we made it through another day!
think about what's been going on & if that is not the way you are thinking just before you fall asleep!

It's not really a bad sign. It can be intrepreted as something coming to an end but sometimes it can also represent something romantic.

it is considered the end... but setting sun with cheerful atmosphere must be a nice ending..
