All colors that don't show evidence of hybridization with other breeds. So there are no chocolate, cinnamon, lavender or fawn Maine Coons. According to the Cat Fanciers' Association registration numbers, brown tabby is the most popular, with red tabby and silver tabby also popular colors, including those colors with white.

maine coons come in all sorts of colours. most common is brown tabby, we have two, a brown tabby and a silvered blue tabby with white paws. you get variations of brown, blue, red, grey/silver, black and white. you'll find solid coloursand tabby patterns in most colours and silvered variations ie: a silvered red is almost strawberry blonde in colour as opposed to a red tabby who will have markings much like a common red tabby. you will also find mixtures of colours, like a white with brown tabby ect.
if you'd like more specific info check out the governing council of the cat fancy @ www.gccfcats.org.
the site gives all the technical details on colours and how they are classed. like a black with white maine coon must have white paws to fit this description for the purpose of showing. it can have white anywhere else on its body but without white paws it cannot be registered as black with white
its a bit fussy how they class them and is only really relevant if you want to show your cats at competitions

"Coon" is another word for "******",
so we don't use it around here.
