Have you ever heard the expression "opposites attract"? A lot of guys are really attracted to personalities that are very different from theirs and their like-minded guy friends. It's refreshing and exciting.

Ashley Simpson is not worth Pete Wentz's time...but anyway, I think it's because they're so often around people who are hard rock, and to date a girl who isn't is refreshing.

well, i dress like a "prep" and i am a guitarist so i date musicians...
it really just depends. many people date people with stuff in common and sometimes a prep can bring a depressed musician up or a wild guy a little bit more down to earth etc.
