Of course I get it. CCTV is there to stop rapists, murderers etc.
The problem, is, I don't like it invading every second of my life outside of my own home. Pretty soon we'll have cameras in our front living room.

They don't 'invade every second' of ANYONE'S life. You don't have the cameras in your house do you? They only observe what is in view of the cameras. in case you hadn't noticed, everything the cameras can see is out in PUBLIC view. They can't see anything that the average person could not.

are normally in places where there have been Problems,
Re internal theft, shoplifting, assaults , crimes of battery
and sexual assault,. I would think if you were a victim of any
of the above you would want someone to come to you aid.
Or be able to help to identify the subject and have that lead to
an arrest and a conviction,. No one wants there life open to the world and this is surely not being done to 99 % of the law
abiding citizens of this country,
