account that with this, comes birthing pains? In leaving, or "putting off the old man", there comes the discomfort of stepping out of what has become norm to you. We call it our "comfort zone", but in actuallity it is the process of the old man truly dying and the new man being born.
With this process, God is showing us who we will become through His forknowledge. He has us "put out into deeper water". The "birthing pains" comes in as we move through this transitional period from being who we were into who God has created us to be. There are mountains we'll face, battles we'll have to fight.... but the Birthing process is truly woth it. As God has said to me, The reward is always greater than the sacrifice....
to restate the question..... Do we/you realize this concept as part of God's Salvation.
Do you see this as what Jesus said" You must be born again"?

When we are born again, God the Holy Spirit creates in us a brand new spirit, one that is born of God, eternal and indestructible. No one has ever been born again apart from the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. When a person is born again, he receives a human spirit, and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in the body of the believer.

Leaving our "comfort zone", I have found, is something I have to do over and over again because it is so easy to slip out of it. In no way do I mean leaving the Holy Spirit. Jesus has us in His heart also. Just as we have Him in ours.

Being "born again" was a wonderful experience for me. Knowing the Lord Jesus as my person Savior is something that words can not describe. I thank God daily for sending us a loving personal Savior in Jesus Christ!

I don't know, I have been here before and the sacrifice is far greater than 'living the norm', Oh too live in the norm again, but once taken that path ahead, there is no turning back, you can only move forth, though strange as this might sound, there is only one way forward, and that is strength in what is true, inside you, not always from others around who doubt. So when it is said from the scriptures, "you must be born again" then yes, it is true, but only from you. I once listened to a song done by the Red Hot Chillie Peppers about leaving your body behind, in affect, the past that you once new, and take on another form. Can't think of what the song is called at this particular time, but It mean't everything to me and made me feel alone for abit, but that I wasn't alone truely speaking.

Being born again means that your (spiritual) old man dies and your new (spiritual) man is born through the washing away of sin by the blood of the Messiah, Jesus. I agree with you that we don't always take into account (when we are first born again) that there is a whole lot of changing that has to take place as we make that decision to walk with God. As some others have said, this is not an easy walk, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I would also submit to you that we should constantly be renewing our commitment and love to God and seeking to be more like Jesus as He continues to change us daily into His image until we meet Him face to face.

BORN AGAIN KNOW THE WORD OF GOD AND ARE OF THE HEAVENLY CALLING

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man
be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom
of God. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which
is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again. 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and
whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

1Pet.1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all
manner of conversation; 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am
holy.
1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1:25 But the word
of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel
is preached unto you.

Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world
marry, and are given in marriage: 20:35 But they which shall be accounted
worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither
marry, nor are given in marriage:20:36 Neither can they die any more: for
they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the
children of the resurrection.
HEAVENLY FOR NEW HEAVENS:
John 6:39,40,44; 14:3; 17:1-26; Mark 13:27; Heb.12:22-24; Rev.3:12; Gal.4:
26; 1Thes.4:15-17; Rev.20:1-6,12,13; The heavenly are with Jesus at his
second coming to resurrect the earthly [ back to Abel ], for the new earth.

The Anology of being Born Again.... Is Really.... BEING ... BORN FROM.... ABOVE ... By the Spirit of GOD!

(Joh 3:5) Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(Joh 3:6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, = and that which is born of the Spirit = is spirit.

Thanks, in Christ Jesus.... RR

To some degree, however, I would put it in a shorter time frame.

May i suggest Acts 2:38.

The repentance part would be the death. The Baptism part would be the death, burial and resurrection. The Holy Spirit part would be the new creature part. Romans 3 and Titus 3 helps with this also.

EDIT********************************************************

For those of you that are finding it difficult.

Replace "comfort zone" with "learned zone". What makes it difficult is our previous learning. It is flawed. Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." Being a Christian is the most easy and rewarding life their is. Paul in Romans states that if we do what we are told, we will find that God's will is perfect, pleasing and good.

Christianity lived faithfully is easy and perfect. Don't mess it up with a great deal of vain thinking.

Grace and peace to all.

That is an excellent analogy. As I ponder your premise, I think about how a baby, when it's born cries loudly. As we enter Salvation, it is most indeed a new world, one in which we must learn to be comfortable. But how comfortable we can become resting in the arms of Jesus. Not to say there won't be trials and tribulations, but we can always be reminded of His Loving Grace, and the promise to never leave us or forsake us.

you're perfect. to be born back is to be be baptized interior the call of the daddy and of the son and of the hoyl spirit. Jesus defined this to nicodemus. this is the main person-friendly requirement or greater suitable yet that's the 1st sacrament to be recieved by means of a christian. therfore, to call one self a born back christian is redundant. no longer lots literal yet ignorant. by means of definitaion a christian is baptized(born back). that's the thank you to get interest. needless to say being a christain does no longer entice sufficient interest so, the ought to call themselves born againers. as, in the event that they're some how greater suitable, no longer in elementary terms chirtsians yet "born back" christians. so, that's igornace and delight. delight the 1st sin, and paproaite on the grounds that's sin perfect off the bat, as quickly as they say i'm a born back christian they could desire to visit the confessional.

I don't believe many to really understand the process of Salvation...let alone the New Birth...but, the Church is starting to "grow up a little" Jesus is coming for a Mature Church, and we front-liners are helping to make it ready for Him! "Peace!"

Jesus Christ said "You must be born again". Yes, he said it as we can read it on John 3:1-8.

The meaning of that context to be "born again" is spiritual renewal. To renew and strenghten our faith in God, regreting our commited sins in life and placing God the center of our lives is the meaning of "born again".

"Born Again" doesnt mean that you worship God by raising your hands, jumping and crying when praying to God. Or even give 10% of your income to our congregation which the lord Jesus Christ never taught his Apostles.
