My mixed Breed rescue dog has been known to a) come in the bedroom and nose along the edge of the covers, b) has gently began licking one of my feet,( which is why now i subconcsiencely withdraawn my feet I suppose, this is usually when she has to go ouit... I am a Really heavy sleeper sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt work... When she was young, She NEVER went inside, Now she is 12, I find my self making allowences because I am away 16 hours often on the night shift when i work nites ( 3 or every18 days) I started putting paper down, rather then deal with bladder infections so IF she really needs to she knows its ok in that one spot... I know this is a form of regresion, but Right now There is no alternative... Never In the chjair though, Unless he isstarrtled or needs out./.. Like everyone is saying DO you sleep athnia, broncial issues or snore in some manner? mor e thne likely she or he is concerned your OK....

i think like those days people sense they do no longer ought to coach their dogs... I stay in a 2 tale house complicated even although that's totally open and outside and theres a extensive backyard. very almost each and every person alongside with myself has dogs and that all of them play outdoors. even although the vendors purely enable them to bark all day even whilst the dogs is as old as 7 years! The vendors are domicile too with the aid of fact they're the two on summer, in college, do on line college, are retired or in spite of so there's no reason they must be barking. I also have a puppy and that i attempt to coach him to no longer bark and it rather is working.

No, they don't try and wake me, although I wouldn't get the chance to fall asleep, as I have four dogs, they all try and sit on top of me. The only chair I'm safe in is the one I'm in now in front of the computer.

Yes! I'm a college student, and usually I stay up all hours of the night to finish papers and homework, and I trained my German Shepherd to wake me up when I fall asleep at the desk.
She's very smart. She only barks when she can't wake me up by nudging me. I have a roommate who is a light sleeper, so she only does it when she has to.
I also trained my dog to look both ways before crossing the street. =D

No, funny enough my dog sleeps along with me...if I nod off..she is a very dear soul and lets mommy sleep.
I think the dog may be warning you or perhaps heard a snore, or some breathing problem, but when your dog wakes you, with barking - give a reassuring " no barking", or " shuuu", it will eventually stop - I hope .!! So you can catch a few zzz's...
enjoy your dog.

No. My baby comes and lies beside my chair so my son tells me. My aunt stayed with me once and I fell asleep, she told me my dog lay beside the chair and periodically looked over the arm rest to make sure I was OK.

In any given situation, focus on what you do want your dog to do instead of on whatever he’s doing wrong. Learn how to train your dog https://tr.im/MXChN
For example, suppose that on many evenings, your young dog gets busy looking for trouble just as you’re digesting your dinner. He grabs a boot from the mat by the front door and gallops through the house with it. You yell at him and take it away. He grabs its mate. You yell and take it away. He heads for the kitchen and starts checking out the counters in case something tasty’s been left behind. You chase him away. And on and on, until you’ve lost your temper and torn out clumps of hair you can ill afford to lose.

Nope, but like DP, I've heard of dogs waking people up when they were breathing funny. My dog's usually asleep first.
