There's nothing wrong in believing in "god or gods" what I think is wrong is the bunch of hypocrites who make profit on people's ignorance

You aren't the first one to ask this. In fact, this question has been asked for hundreds of years. It even has a name; it is known as 'Pascal's Wager'.

>What if we Christains are right, What if there is a heaven and hell....Just what if?

But for an atheist like me, that's not the choice I'm presented with. Think about it. What if the muslims are right? What if the buddhists are right? What if the hindus are right? What if the sikhs, or the jews, or the wiccans, or the scientologists are right? You're talking as if christianity and atheism are the only two religious viewpoints available. They aren't. On the contrary, there are literally THOUSANDS of religions in the world. Even if I was going to try to save myself from eternal torture in Hell by converting, can do I know which religion's Hell I need to save myself from? Your religion's Hell does not seem any more real to me than any other, so why should I try to save myself from it specifically? And for the matter of that, what if YOU'RE wrong and end up burning the islamic Hell, or the jewish Hell, or any of those hundreds of other Hells?

>Because if you keep saying they don't exist.....Just what if they do when you die.

Then I'll find out, won't I? In the meantime, I intend to improve the world around me, be kind to other people, and hope that if God does exist, he'll judge me based on what I have done for the world rather than based on not choosing an arbitrary one out of thousands of available belief systems.

If there is a god and a heaven and hell then when I die it will be just like everybody else. I will be judged by my actions. Just because I don't presently believe does not mean that when I die I will go some place other then what you and your god have described. If there is some place else please let us know. Heaven and hell with their many permutations are all that I know of. And if your god is going to send me to hell even though I have lived an exemplary life, then I would not want to be in a heaven that some one like that created.

What if is one hell of a question. Its like asking if we never discoverd fire what would have happened? Or if we had never invented the wheel how would we get around today? So what if christians are right? So what its not going to make me change any time soon! And if you are right than hats off to you. Your the first intellegent people to walk the earth, oh wait thats already taken! And besides IF is one of the longest words in the dictionary. No seriously. . . look it up yourself IF you don't believe me!

What if? I guess I'll find out...I refuse to think that God would ban me to hell for eternity because I didn't believe. What about my good deeds, my walk, doesn't that count for anything?
I think people are way off with the mind-set that all you have to do is accept Christ as your savior and all will be fine. That makes the murderer just as likely to go to heaven as the innocent child. Where's the justice in that?

What if pigs could fly? Then I would have some serious coin coming my way. The fact is if you are right and I am wrong I will be forever lost in Limbo I guess. I don't worship the Devil so that guy wouldn't want me. I'll refuse to worship God day and night so he wouldn't want me. I guess I'm screwed if your right. It may be confusing to you but I truly don't give a damn.
Peace.

What if the re-incarnationists are right ?

What if you had built up a lot of Karma for trying to scare people into following a a false religion with lies about hell ?

What would you say to your spirit guide in the after life if they told you that YOU were wrong about everything you believed in, and that you did the wrong thing by telling people they were going to hell ?

See, anyone can play the game of "what if".

Pascal's Wager.

What if Odin really exists and he's pissed at you for not believing in him? No Valhalla for you my dear.

What if Allah is the real god?

What if Zeus is?

What if Ganesh really is the best god of all?

Do you see how silly this question is now?

Then I'd go to hell. But...What if the Muslims are right? Or the Pagans? Or the Buddhists? I find it funny that every religion considers themselves to be the one true religion. Nobody knows for sure which one is right. Nobody ever will. You need to learn to respect other peoples' beliefs and quit trying to push your own upon them.

silly question. you may as well be asking "what if the moon is really an apple?"

There is a difference between reality and fantasy. Shame you havent figured that out yet.

Try reading some real books, not just fairy tales. You may actually learn something.

pascal's wager yet again... ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Believing in something just in case christians are correct is a very bad reason for believing in anything. Do you honestly think that an omniscient god would be fooled by someone believing in him just in case he happens to exist? Do you really think that such fake belief will keep you out of hell?

I'll stick with honest skepticism rather than fake belief
