Don't give up on contacts! I just got mine a couple months ago and I too still have trouble putting them in in the morning. A lot of times I can get my left one in on the first try, but I can never get in my right one. So since I'm in a hurry, I'd leave the house with only one contact in.
So yes I think you should keep practicing. If you have time at home, take them out, put them in solution, then try to put them back in. Patience. =)
And concerning glasses, I think you should get glasses. You should always have a backup pair. And it wouldn't hurt to take out your contacts every now and then to wear glasses. Your eyes need to breathe too.

I lift my top eyelid by pressing my eyelashes against my eyebrow bone, which keeps my eye wide open. Then slowly pressing the contact against my eye, and slowly let my eye close.
If you're stilling having problems, maybe you can go to your eyedoctor or the place where you buy your lenses and they can give you some tips.
Best of Luck

My opinion is if you try harder and practice.Trust me glasses are a pain in the a**. contacts will help but just in case, you should get glasses, sometimes you can lose your contacts.

Contact lenses are great to have and u will soon get the hang of it.
It took me about to weeks to get it right.
When u hold up the upper eyelid - try get hold of ur eyelashes and hold it up like that - it will stop ur eye from closing.

keep trying....you'll get it soon.
I used to be very weird when it came to going anywhere near my eyes, but i have been wearing contacts for years now. You should be okay as soon as you get used to them. Take your time.
