it really depends on what type of feet you have, cause not every show will work for everyone. Go to your local running store or shoe store, and they should be able to help you out. BUt some good brands that are popular are saucony, asics, brooks and nike

Hello,
I think the Nike Air Pegasus is one of the best value trainers for the money. See the shoe review below. If you shop around, you may be able to find some discount shoe stores with last year's models or good prices on the '07. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Have someone at a propper running shop look at your running style and they will get the trainers with the correct sole for your style. Otherwise if you're doing serious running in 6 months time you might develop a form of shin splints.

The ones I like are Saucony Cohesion available at Academy for about $40. They are a newer version of the Jazz model with lots of cushioning. And, of course, they are the world-famous Saucony that I use and love.
Good Luck

Asics are good shoes. They're about $80-$100, but they're well worth it. They last for a good 6+ months, too. They're one of the best athletic brands, for running. Nike isn't that great overall, and Adidas is amazing, but mainly for soccer/football.

From bruising etc etc.
They've worked a treat for me

Ascis are fantastic, they are extremely well designed for running, they have fantastic cushioning and are worth every penny if you intend to take up running seriously.
