Are there any ways to hook up a digital camcorder to a television to record a T.V. show? I don't have any VHS or DVD players at my house and the show is a documentary which is rarely on. And I can't find anywhere to buy it.

Technically, depend on your hardware. Since you did not say the type of TV and Camcorder, we have to make a few basic assumptions.

First of all, your TV must have a composite OUTPUT to enable you to capture what is displayed on screen. most TV are WITHOUT the TV output as most TV will have Video input only.

Secondly, your camcorder MUST have composite input. Most current camcorder have ONLY Composite Video OUTPUT with no being able to capture analog input.

Thirdly, make sure your TV and Camcorder are using the SAME format. (NTSC, PAL, SECAM).

Fourth, You have proper and correct type of Cabling (RCA, SCART, S-VIDEO, etc)

Lastly , do a lot of trial and error to get the best setting for sound and video. Do ahead of the planned showing time and be ready when the time comes.

Happy experimenting.

If your camcorder has a video input, then definitely yes. You can use it like a VCR.

If you want to use the camera itself, it is possible but if your capture rate is not fast enough, during playback you will see that annoying line scanning through. So, check your camcorder and make sure you capture at the highest possible speed. Do some tests on some other material before you record your documentary.

decrease than a $a hundred and fifty? sturdy? no longer extremely - you'l get an 'ok' cam for that fee yet won't lnclude seperate audio controls and inputs and could be customary definition. shop your cash and purchase something greater suitable.
