I own a big-boned, long-haired german shepherd who is NEARLY 5 months old. (<<
At the moment he is 56 cnm tall standing (not from his head but from the middle bit of his body)
Could anyone give me a prediction of how tall he will be??

Im pretty sure that he will be bigger than most GSD's because of the fact that his big boned. plz tell me what you think.

Thanx!

He will be a big boy. Expect him to be at least 125 lbs. My GSD is about 30 inches from the shoulder and weighs about 125. He is a gentle giant so as long as you start his training early, he will be great! Especially leash walking. GSD's tend to be very head strong and LOVE to pull, so make sure you teach him now while he is small. If he jumps, use the term "off", when you walk him and he pulls ahead, just slow down and say "wait" and keep him on your side. THey are very smart so he will do just great! He's a beauty!!!! oh, BTW, you cannot judge teh size by the parents!! My dog's parents were 65 lbs and the dad was 90 lbs. ALL the puppies are weighing in between 130-140lbs. Mine is tall and his head is HUGE but he is a big teddy bear!! They are teh best dogs ever!

My aunt breeds these kinds of GSD! I can tell you when they're fully grown, they'll be about 65 to 75 cm tall, maybe more.

I might be wrong though. My German Shepherd is about that big, but she's female and older.

Wow he's so adorable, and he is kinda huge. He'll probably stop growing at 1-2 years. Estimate on his height? Well a regular one will be about 65-70 cm, but that's the boys. So he'll probably be 70-80 around there. Or maybe 75. Good luck.

Are you measuring him from the withers? That should probably give you a better comparison with other GSDs. How big were his parents? What about other "half-siblings" from one parent or the other? This should help you figure it out as well.

Also, he's really cute. :)

He will probably be 60-65cm tall, between 80 and 110 lbs.
Being big boned doesn't mean he'll be taller, it means he'll probably be heavier and more muscular. German Shepherds are not very tall dogs.

Talk to your breeder, she should give you a good idea how big the dog will be.. Big boned doesn't necessarily mean that the dog is going to be tall.

He is beautiful. He will be one big boy. Make sure he has good manners. That means training.

Look at the parents size that should give you something of an estimate.
