How about a change of pace? A song about love, but funny.

"You're Just in Love" (from Call Me Madam)

This is a fun version:

Bridge Over Troubled Water- Simon and Garfunkel

we did an arrangement of that in my choir with a boy and girl duet. It was really good, and got a great reaction from the crowd. you can take it as being about love, or friendship-really however you feel about it.

'Baby it's cold outside.'
'All I ask of you', (from Phantom of the Opera)
'Last Night of the World' (from Miss Saigon - but it's really hard!)
'All for the Best' (from Godspel - originally sung by two boys, but could be boy and girl, and it's very different).
'I remember it well' (for an older couple, from Gigi)
'The cat duet' (harder than it looks, but also very different)

Hope this helps

Anything by Nightwish. A lot of their stuff is great for duets.
