Debbie -- How can it be both Jehovah and Jesus when the Bible clearly says there's only one name which one can be saved? Not two....

Jehovah has designated Jesus as humankind's Savior.

(1 John 4:14) The Father has sent forth his Son as Savior of the world

(John 3:17) God sent forth his Son into the world... for the world to be saved through him.

(Acts 5:30,31) The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus... God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior

Incidentally, it seems incredible that trinitarians continue to ask a question whose biblical answer plainly refutes trinitarianism.

The man Christ Jesus.

Act 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

If this makes Jesus God then trinitarians are stuck with Ehud also being God and part of the trinity since the same hebrew word for savior is also used with this Judge.

"moshiah"

Isaiah 43:11 (RSV) I, I am the LORD, and besides me there is no "savior." (moshiah)

Judges 3:15 (RSV) But when the people of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up for them a "deliverer" (moshiah), Ehud, the son of Gera

If God is the only savior how can there be another savior such as Ehud or Jesus?

A good understanding of what the word moshiah means is critical in proper interpretation of the Hebrew Bible. As the verb moshiah is a hiphil verb meaning "to cause to be delivered" we can see that God is one who "causes to be delivered" and this can be done by the hand of God himself or by sending another to be the agent of the deliverance.

Israel's deliverance is caused by God, the one and only moshiah, who sent Ehud.

God caused Jesus to be an agent just like Ehud.

1 John 4:14 The Father has sent forth his Son as Savior of the world

Colossians 1:15-18
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things;

All True is right.

Verse 15 states Jesus firstborn of all creation, made in the image of God his principle qualities are love, justice, wisdom and power and also he is spiritual like his Father and the angels. Humans too are created in God's image albeit we are made to be fleshly not spiritual beings.
Verse 16 Jesus created all things in the entire Universe by the power of his Father Jehovah. Jehovah did this through Jesus for Jesus.
Verse 17 Jesus was created before anything else. Jesus was the first before anything else existed other than God. Jehovah loved Jesus above all.
Verse 18 Jesus is the head of the Christian congregation and the first to eternal resurrection from death. Jesus is the most powerful creation in the whole universe. His dying sacrificial loyalty to his Father unlike the Trinity concept that translates God is loyal to Himself but rather actually Jesus proved his loyalty to his creator. A much more poignant loyalty that was true sacrifice.

Since you have had your account suspended - a few anti-JW consipracists such as yourself seem to think Jehovah's Witnesses run Yahoo Inc. Even Jehovah's Witnesses have other interests too such as playing an musical instrument or photography or something else that is upbuilding may I suggest for your benefit you do the same. Now to answer your question.

It was the Ransom of Jesus perfect life that we now have the hope that one day we will have everlasting life.

1John 4:9,10: "By this the love of God was made manifest in our case, because God sent forth his only-begotten son into the world that we might gain life through him. The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent forth his son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins."

1Pet. 2:24---Titus 2:13,14---2Corth. 5:14,15

John 3:36: "He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him."

John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through me."

Good question.

Psalm 3:8 says, "Salvation belongs to Jehovah"

Then Revelation 19:1 adds, "After these things I heard what was as a loud voice of a great crowd in heaven. They said: “Praise Jah, YOU people! The salvation and the glory and the power belong to our God"

How did Jehovah provide salvation?

At John 3:16 we can read,  “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."

What did Jesus say about this?

Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will."

So what's the conclusion?

Romans 10:13, "For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”"

The Bible has spoken.

A.

Everlasting salvation is possible only through Christ’s ransom sacrifice. Why? The Bible explains that when Adam sinned, he “sold” himself and all his future descendants, including us, into sin—thus necessitating a ransom if mankind were to have any valid hope. That God would provide a ransom for all mankind was foreshadowed by the animal sacrifices under the Mosaic Law. Jesus was the one whose sacrifice fulfilled those prophetic pictures. Jehovah’s angel announced before Jesus’ birth: “He will save his people from their sins.
Salvation cannot be earned by attendance at meetings or in any other way. It is free, a gift from God. Yet, Jehovah God does require efforts on our part if we are to receive his gift of everlasting life. What are they? For one, vigorous exertion in his service! These actions must be motivated by genuine appreciation. God’s Son, Jesus Christ, once had a man inquire of him: “Lord, are those who are being saved few?” Jesus’ answer embraced not only the questioner but also all others interested in salvation, including us. He replied: “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able.

Why, only Him who is KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Otherwise known as the Rider on the White Horse of Revelation 19, who is called FAITHFUL AND TRUE. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood (that would be JESUS, then) and his name is THE WORD OF GOD. "On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

Now please go back to Revelation 17:14 where it says "They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings."

Refer to Deuteronomy 10:17 "For Jehovah your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords..."

Are there two King of Kings or two Lord of Lords? Of course not. There can be only one. Guess what? If you read JESUS for JEHOVAH it all fits! Jesus was God With Us (then). The Holy Spirit is God With Us Now. They are one and the same.

Jehovah came up with the whole plan of salvation. Jesus accepted to play the necessary role. So we owe salvation to Jehovah, through believing in Jesus Christ, the mediator.

Romans 10:11-13 (which partly quotes Joel 2:32)
For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved

Acts 4:10-12
let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Naz·a·rene′, whom you impaled but whom God raised up from the dead, by this one does this man stand here sound in front of you. This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the head of the corner.Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”

EDIT: Anyone else notice that we are all saying the same thing but using all different sorts of verses?? Wow guys!!!

Since Jesus only shed his blood for the 144,000 anointed 'spiritual Israel', the other sheep aren't saved at all. They are only 'saved' by association with anointed ones.

Check out your own organisations teachings.

edit - here you go if you don't believe me:

Worldwide Security Under the “Prince of Peace” pp. 10-11

“Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel, which is limited to only 144,000 members.”

Watchtower 1979 April 1 p.31

“Is Jesus the “mediator” only for anointed Christians?

… So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the “mediator” only for anointed Christians.

…The “great crowd” of “other sheep” that is forming today is not in that new covenant. However, by their associating with the “little flock” of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant.”

Oh, and the other answer for a Christian is - Jesus.

Judging by all the thumbs down I guess the real truth hurts - just remember you can't run from it forever. Be like the Bereans, check EVERYTHING...
