I have an XP Professional laptop, 80 GBs, 4 users. We just downloaded Norton 360 Protection and now it seems as though it is even slower. itunes comes up but it keeps saying that stuff is loading and wont let me click on anything. so i cant even delete anything if i wanted to.. is their a way to get it to run faster??

The number of users is not relevant. Only one person at a time can use the PC. What multiple users do well is infect PC's with malware. Your PC is infected.
Norton 360 is a huge hardware resource hog. Use it to clean up the malware, then, add more RAM. If XP: 1 GB minimum, 2 GB better. If Vista: 2 GB minimum, 3+ GB better.
If still slow, Back Up all personal data and re-install Windows.
TIP: One Admin User account (to add / Remove programs) and 4 Limited User Accounts will minimize future infections. It will prevent any user from installing anything without the Admin's approval.
