Here we go again with the "most people" stuff. I am not attacking anyone. No one I know is attacking anyone. I see it some here on R&S, but this is far from "most".

Judging people is a pretty important part of being a conscious person, don't get me wrong I'd love it if theists stopped hassling me but I judge them as well. I guess the only difference is in how you act on those judgments, you can either be a jerk or not be a jerk. So really IMHO the question should be why do people who believe in God act like jerks? And to that question I would have to say that it's just that the people who don't act like jerks don't get noticed as much as the jerks. So it's the few ruining it for the many.

I think you have it backwards. If you look at these questions in R&S, you'll see that it is the atheists, the skeptics, the mockers and the scoffers that are asking questions to attack the Christians.
And I doubt you understand what being "born again" really means. I question, also, but all my questions lead me closer to God. God will accept any HONEST question, but the rebellious questions God rejects out of hand. He said He reveals Himself to the humble, but hides himself from the proud, the arrogant, skeptics, scoffers and mockers.
I don't "believe in God so I can get through the day". I believe in God because He has revealed Himself to me, and I HAVE been Born Again and He has forgiven my sins and adopted me into His Forever Family.
As far as the question of "judging" - it's obvious from your statement that you really don't know what Jesus said about it. We don't judge sin, God does that. But to let someone know when they have broken God's Laws is NOT judging, and if you feel that way, then you should tell the police to leave you alone if you drive 65 MPH in a school zone, because what THEY are doing, based on YOUR definition, is "JUDGING" you!
If you tell a lie, and I tell you that was a lie, I am not judging you when I point out your sin! (DUH!) I would ask you, if someone lied to you, or tried to steal from you, would you try to stop them? Or is it only one sided (ie hypocrasy), that only YOU can "judge" others, but nobody can judge YOU?
It's folly and nonsense to say we shouldn't judge. The Bible says that we'll even judge the angels!
Going back to a previous point you made, we don't think you're stupid, Jesus, Himself, said you are evil: "People refuse to come to me because their deeds are evil." I didn't say it. Jesus, whom you have rejected, said it! And it's not US you are disagreeing with, but God. You have a complaint, but it's not with us, it's with God, so take it up with Him.

A lot of people who believe in a god just can't comprehend the thought of not believing in one. They don't understand atheism or agnosticism. Some people even make up vicious lies about atheism to make themselves feel better.
I was watching this christian fundie on YouTube criticize atheists. He kept calling atheists liars and evil people. The worst thing he could think of off the top of his head was that atheists cheat on their taxes. He later recanted and said atheists don't even pay taxes at all. He did his whole video with a ski mask on. It's those kind of people that really scare me.

judge ye not;lest ye be judged. The way you judge others saved or not saved will ultimately come back on you.The whole message of Calvary was grace and love. Its always convenient to judge the whole world. But what comes back on you isn't so convenient. instead of using all you're energy for judgment or hatred, put that same energy into love.

Aren't you doing the same by putting us all in the bowl, you will know the true followers of Christ, because Christ didn't judge, and he spent most of his times answering and teaching to non believers and to those who were seeking, he did not condemn them, and no true Christian will condemn you, there are false teachers (prophets) it was foretold, you have to walk closely with Jesus not a religion to really have a relationship with him and know His teachings...Peace

Even though you can be "born again", we still have a carnal side that tries to rule everything we do.
Paul said this, "I die daily." He had to confess his sins everyday in order to become a great disciple and follower of Jesus.
We must do the same.

I have seen that, if you have a differing view and don't buddy-up to them, they feel threatened and give you the *gasp* thumbs down. (I mean, who cares? I could wallpaper my three-bedroom home with the thumbs-down I've gotten and I sleep darn well at night.)
