Hello Lone Ranger. Congrats on your TC honor. You have earned it.
Most Christians reject the Sabbath because they associate the Sabbath with Judaism, and Christianity with Sunday worship. The rest of the Commandments apply to all, so they say.
God gave us Ten Commandments. Not nine. The Law is a transcript of his character. The Law cannot be changed in any way by man made decrees, traditions and religious dogma. Therefore Christians have an obligation to honor all Ten Commandments including the Sabbath(Saturday).

Because most Christians today do not live fully under the Law of Moses but the new Covenant that Jesus brought into the world.
The Jews of the time (and even now) hold to the letter of the Commandments and even expanded them out to 633 Laws. They would enforce rigid compliance which was and still is foolishness. Jesus brings to light the Truth of God's Word with His answer to the Pharisees that the Love God is the most important and to love each other as the second most. It all revolves about "loving" - nothing else really maters (in God's eyes)
The whole point of "resting" on the Sabbath is to not work but to recognize and worship God.

RE: Sarah York Verses interior the bible are actually not subjective, although Christians attempt to declare this to justify commandment breaking. with the aid of fact the question is directed to Protestants, it may in elementary terms advise people who took section interior the Reformation and rejected the authority of the apostate Roman Catholic Church RE: Michael The Bible makes use of the lunar calendar, so the Sabbath starts on sunset Friday and ends sunset Saturday. for this reason to suitable be conscious any subjective sabbath, could advise following this, ie, sunset saturday till sunset sunday if Sunday grew to become into supposedly the day, which it needless to say isn't. RE: Bobby Jim No Sunday commandment is given interior the Bible in selection to the seventh day Sabbath. "Sunday is a Catholic enterprise and its declare to observance may be defended in elementary terms on Catholic techniques..... From taking off to end of Scripture there is no longer a single passage that warrants the flow of weekly public worship from the final day of the week to the 1st." Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August 1900. The Bible instructions Saturday. "Sunday is our mark of authority..... The church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is information of that actuality." The Catholic checklist, London, Ontario, September a million, 1923. ultimately you're a Protestant, and you profess to flow by means of the Bible and the Bible in elementary terms; and yet, in so significant a count number with the aid of fact the observance of one day in seven with the aid of fact the holy day, you flow against the straightforward letter of the Bible, and placed yet another day interior the placement of that day which the Bible has commanded. The command to maintain holy the seventh day is between the ten Commandments; you have faith that the different 9 are nevertheless binding. Who gave you authority to tamper with the fourth? while you're consistent with your very own techniques, in case you relatively stick to the Bible, and the Bible in elementary terms, you are able to desire to have the skill to offer some ingredient of the recent testomony wherein this 4th commandment is expressly altered."

Why do you lump everyone together, and insist they all believe the same?
The entire old covenant ended. Some Christians may well "accept" the nine, but "Christianity" does not accept any of them. It is the Spirit of the law, and not the letter that is important to true Christians.
Those who have God's Spirit in them are not about to start making idols and worshiping them. Neither are they tempted to commit murder because of the love for even their enemies that they have.
And the sabbath? It was a shadow of Christ. The shadow has no substance; Christ has the substance. There is no more need or requirement to keep the sabbath as there is to continue in the sacrifices.
Quit focusing on the physical, letter of the law and try focusing on the Spirit.
The letter kills; the spirit gives life. (Rom. 7)

People say that Yeshua mentioned 9 Commands, but never
mentioned the Sabbath, however He kept the Sabbath & that
is sufficient.
What is that old saying, Actions speak louder than words.
If the Sabbath was given to Israel, how do people get around
the fact that when we get saved we are grafted into Israel.
So if people do not want to do Sabbath & claim they are not
Israel, who are they & who are they serving?????????????

They ignore far more than just that one.
From the King James version:
1) Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Which is why most everyone on the planet--Christians included--worship money. Think about it, and you'll realize that money is little more than a paper God that we all bow to at one time or another. Whatever it takes to make it, we do--even if it means bombing the hell out of another country and killing a few thousand people. Whatever will shut off the supply of money, we avoid--which is why our employers are pretty much permitted to run our lives.
2) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth...*sic*
There's more to this one, but it basically states that no one is allowed to take any living or natural thing and make an idol out of it. I guess that doesn't apply to Heaven itself--which is the "reward" Christians look forward to for being better than everyone else.
3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain...*sic*
Uh, huh. So only Atheists say "God damn it." Gotcha.
4) Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
You pretty much covered this one.
5) Honour thy father and thy mother.
Nice idea... but rarely practiced. Of course, I don't know of any Christian parents who still stone their disobediant children to death. I guess when faced with death as your alternative, you're pretty much forced to at least ACT like your mother and father are good people. And of course, we all have to tell our parents to butt out when they attempt to run our lives as adults at *least* once. Is that honoring them?
6) Thou shalt not kill.
The Crusades. The Holocaust. The Inquisition. The killing of abortion-providing doctors. The killing of homosexuals (usually accidental, and happens while beating the hell out of them). The Thirty Years' War. Capital punishment. Let's get serrious here: Christians have never had a problem with murder.
7) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
The divorce rate is at a steady 50%. The leading reason? Yep: adultery. So this only happens amoung married Atheists, right? *rolls eyes*
8) Thou shalt not steal.
Sure. This one's honored. *sarcasm in its purest form*
9) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Our courts are absolutely loaded with this one. Do we even really need to examine it?
10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s... *anything*
What do you think stimulates the economy? Yeah! It's keeping up with the Joneses! And since the neighbor's wife is in this commandment, you might want to look at that divorce rate--and the reason why--again. This one's utterly ignored.

Not rejected. It is still in principle there. It is now the first day of the week.
If you want to live by the whole Bible, when will the 7th Day Adventists start sacrificing sheep and bulls on an alter.

Jesus fulfilled the Law. We are not under the Mosaic Law any more. Just as we don't have to fast or sacrifice animals. Jesus gave Christians commands they needed to follow.
Christians are urged to “fulfill the law of the Christ,” rather than to keep the Ten Commandments. (Galatians 6:2) Jesus gave many commands and instructions, and by our obeying them we are keeping or fulfilling his law. In particular, Jesus stressed the importance of love. (Matthew 22:36-40; John 13:34, 35) Yes, to love others is a Christian law. It is the basis of the entire law of Moses, as the Bible says: “The entire Law stands fulfilled in one saying, namely: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’”—Galatians 5:13, 14; Romans 13:8-10.

I have a better question for you. Why did Christians pick only 10 Commandments out of the original 200 plus commandments Moses originally gave his people, huh?
