You can go to taxact.com and sign up online. This is inexpensive and you get your money back quickly. But you can also preview what you will get back before you send it. I have already done mine and all I have to wait for the deadline and hit send. Been with them for 3 years now.

Your tax liability works out to about $2,946. If you have $4,000 in income taxes withheld you'll get back about $1,044 back.

With that type of refund coming you are having too much tax withheld from your pay. I'd suggest kicking up your withholding allowances by 1 or even 2. That way you'll get most of your money in your paycheck instead of giving the government an interest-free loan of YOUR money for upwards of 15 months.

If you are not a dependent, your tax liability will be around $2950 so you'd get back the amount that you overpaid, a little over $1000.
