NO this is truly a backcountry job
they do groom cross country trails so that you can telemark
the extreme nutcases actually ski the mountain but this means a couple of days of climbing the mountain and some drops that need to be rope-skied. definitely WAY above my skiing ability and I was considered one of the best racers in the country back in the day. Certainly not for someone who tackled a backbowl at some resort and now thinks he's ready to star in a warren miller flick

Props to Andy S for mentioning Warren Miller.

No. Of course it doesn't have ski lifts. It's a volcanoe, not a Ski Resort.

No longer does The Mountain have lifts, but 40 years ago it had 2 ropes that served many different slopes. If you want to ski this region try Crystal Mtn, (about 10 miles east) or White Pass about 40 miles SE. Not served by the same roads.

Its a freaking active VOLCANO! I doubt the the National Forest Service is going to grant a permit to build a lift on a ticking time bomb. It would be really fun to ski though, wouldnt it?
