Hi all,

I finished university last May and in my final year I got to know a French girl quite well through doing projects and stuff with her.

I really fell for her in a big way, but I only got around to asking if she was single in late April, of course she didn't really catch what I was asking her and it ended in awkward smiling and stuff, I was going to just kiss her there and then, seize the day and that but didn't.

I haven't seen her since our exams finished in May but she's constantly on my mind. I'm always cursing myself for not taking the many opportunities I had to ask her out, yada yada.

I keep thinking of sending her an e-mail just to catch up that kind of thing, bit useless though as she's back living in France and to be honest I have doubts whether she'd reply or delete just it.

Looking at it objectively I know she knows I like her and it's just drilling my head day in day out even after 6-7 months.

A catch-up e-mail can't hurt right?

You can email and tell her you were thinking of her and hope that everything is going well. See if she responds or not. If she does, you can start talking to her there and get to know her. I am sure she appreciates all your help while she was here.

You are probably right about it not working since she lives in a different country. Just have good memories of making a good friend here from someone who is from France. You probably will neither one move to where each other lives. Just be email friends for now. Think of fond memories and how much she probably appreciated your help. Happy New Year.

I say go for it!! I mean its obviously tearing you apart anyway with not knowing what could have happened and what could still happen. If you e-mail her you won't have to agonize in wondering, you can know how she feels and therefore either be happy or move on. But i say just start e-mailing her and who knows what could happen after you both talk for awhile and she really gets to know you on a deeper level. And If she already knows you like her then there's really no harm to be done by telling her how you feel and seeing what she thinks. And if its really meant to be and she likes you back she might be looking for a reason or an excuse to come back and visit you!

This is so romantic! I think you should definitely e-mail her, the worst thing that can happen is if she doesn't answer, if you don't send it you will be cursing yourself for not doing it. I hope everything works out well for you. Good luck!

Time to move on... maybe someday you will meet up with her again, but in the meantime, start having fun and working on your new career! Women will come.. don't worry

It certainly wouldn't hurt.

If it makes you feel better, then do it. It's not like you're being a random stalker.

She would probably be happy to hear from you!
