I'm going to Cococa Beach Pier, in Florida for New Years. Every New Years I have worne a cocktail dress, however someone told me that it is much more causal at the Pier. We will be having dinner in a casual seafood restaruant and then there are 5 different parties on the pier

Cocoa is a very cool place! Wear whatever you like. You can wear your cocktail dress and not be out of place; however, most people will be much more casual. As long as you are comfortable you will be fine. Some people feel odd wearing a cocktail dress when others are in jeans, I personally dont. If I want to wear my cocktail dress on NY's eve, I will!

Happy New Year!

Florida is very casual...even to events that would normally be formal. The high New Years Eve is going to be upper 70's low in the mid 60's. Since you're going to be on the beach...if you want to be a little more formal, without being overdone, a black skirt always works, with a top with some embellishments and some strappy sandals - of course, no hose. Or a cute khaki skirt with a sparkley top. You'll see a variety of styles at the party, it's Florida - so go in what makes you comfortable, and have fun.

Here in Florida, it is always summer so just wear a casual summer dress or a nice shirt with capris.

Have Fun!
